Sometimes it's hard to make your own lunch box, and even worse to make your kids! Here's a list of essentials to help you get started: 1. An insulated and reusable bag. I'm sure a lot of you have begun using the new recycling bags to carry your food- BE CAREFUL! You still need to wash these as studies are showing bacteria sticks to it. 2. Hot pack/ cold pack- this will make sure to keep your foods at the right temperature! **Cold foods should be kept at 4 degrees C or less. My tip: Freeze your water-bottles or juice boxes and let it act as your ice pack! 3. Reusable containers of all sizes, insulated thermos, wax paper or zip-lock bags. All of these are great ways to store your food! Just make sure to get the ones that are best for you (and the ones that your kids are most likely to bring back to you!) 4. Don't forget the proper cutlery, napkins and even some hand sanitizers to use before and after you eat your meal! 5. Make a well balanced "Cool" Lunch. HOW? My Challenge: Incorporate all the tools I've given you so far and create a well balanced meal! And be sure to eat mindfully; slowly, savour and enjoy each bite!!
